What New Students
Can Expect

First, let one of our students tell you…

You can be yourself in this program.  You feel like you’re around friends, not just teachers…
makes it much more enjoyable.

First, you need to contact the program and set up a time to meet, and ask any questions you might have.  Second, you will be tested to determine your best method for learning, what works best for you.  This is not pre-set.  Third, you will be introduced to your instructor and learning materials.

The learning environment is low stress.  You can talk and joke around, it’s not rigid.  This program is very flexible.  You don’t have to stick to one text-book.  They’ll teach you in the way that works best for you.  You will start to make progress, and you will begin to see that it’s not as hard as you thought it was.  You will start feeling more self-confident.  Then it will be easier to go grocery shopping, to travel around, and to go out to eat.

A lot of adults don’t realize how their lives can change when they can read and write, because it makes you willing to try other things.  It motivates in all directions!                                                                                Dale Jones, Student
